I am 18 and was paying $256 a month for my 1990 f-150 when I first got it but after six months it droped to $180 for havng a good driving discount and not getting into any trouble. When I was first looking at a new truck it was a 2007 ranger fx4 and they wanted between $8000 and $12000 a year the payment for insurance were more than the payments for the truck. If you ask me it is just a money grabbing deal. Everyone should start at say $100 or whatever and when you get a ticket or accident or anything then start to put it up accordingly. It is not fair that just because I am 18 with no tickets or anyhting I have to pay more than someone in there mid 20's with no tickets or anything for the same vehicle.

I'm just about to turn 23 and I was paying 190 a month, I had my one and only at fault accident drop off my record and switch companies and got it down to 112 a month. The only thing on my record right now is when some women tried to drive right up under a dodge I had, it scuffed my tire and tore her drivers side door, and fender apart and bent her front wheel. With the new company I now recieve the 5 year good driver discount. This is liabilty only on both vehicles. To put full coverage on the Focus would cost me about 220 a month, not bad considering my last company wanted almost double that, it was at that point that I decided, buy the time I get done paying insurance, I could have the whole car paid for in a year or year and half. so it makes very little sense for me to cover everything, because lets face it, even tho it's an 05 and its a limited production model, to the average joe its still a 9 thousand dollar focus, they just dont hold there value.

I'm 22 and on my own insurance policy. I currently pay 120/mo total for 2 vehicles. My '90 Firebird Formula and my '94 F350. What's funny is, after I graduated from college in May '07 I got off of my parent's policy and my rates actually went down. At first I thought, HTF does that happen, then I said to myself, "don't ask questions, just be thankful."

I'm 24, on my own policy with a clean record, paying a total of $101.34 a month ($1216.10 a year) for liability only on two vehicles (95 F-150 and 94 Thunderbird LX) and a $30K agreed value plan on another vehicle (90 Cougar XR7). Nearly half of what I'm paying each month is for the $30K coverage on the Cougar.

When I was 17, I was insured under my parents policy for my 98 f150 v8 4x4, and it cost me 100 a month. I currently am 20 and have my own policy with AIG for my 95 taurus and pay 101 a month. By the way, any of you who have geico, Get a quote from AIG, I had Geico before them and i saved 56 dollars a month when I switched to AIG. I'm saving 672 dollars a year.
