One thing about the RV shows Dont let them put presure on you to buy it there. I will cost you alot more than at the lot,
Nick
You are 100% correct. Look, decide on the model(s) you want, and then walk away from the show. Shop around for the best price, research the dealers for their customer service aspects, and let them come back to you with better pricing.
Sounds like I need to go with the 27 foot. I am on a tight budget with 5 kids but I want to travel with them. I get most of what you were saying above I was already planing on a sway bar. I have never messed with WD hitch. I think it will be easeist to go with the 350 springs and the sawy bar with a WD hitch. I do believe that is a good start. Oh yea and the brake controler. Thank you for all the info and hopefully I get all this set up before the get together. Be prepared for alot more questions when I start getting everything set up.
I would suggest taking a video camera with you to the show and record what you like and the pros and cons... you will see so many you won't remember which was which after a while... this way you will have a good record of everything including all promises and offers made by the selling dealer and salesman name and info...
I wouldn't rule out any brand based on someone having a bad one either, they all make some bad ones, and the highest volume makers also have the highest volume bad ones, but they also have the highest volume satisfied users to...
now percent of satisfied users is a different story... these are also the brands with the higher price tags to... but even they make some bad ones...<O</O
good luck with your quest...<O</O
