Depending on how many tapes you need to convert, it may be less expensive for you to do it yourself. There are a number of sub $100 devices out there that will allow you to hook up your VCR through your USB or Firewire connection and dump your videos to your hard disk. Then go pick up a burner for $30 and burn away. Its almost an idiot-proof operation now.
If its just one, then check out the local photo labs (the ones that still exist) and see if they do it. Even if they don't, they might know of a place that does good work.

you can buy a pci or usb capture device for around $25 and even wal-mart carries dvd burners around $45 bucks. In the long run you will come out better doing it yourself. Cause converting vhs is done in real time meaning its going to take however long the vhs is to do.
