my original was still doing a good job at over 122k so figured another oem belt was the way to go
i got my original back on there now..i got the Napa one before my trip to Florida last chrismas and kept the original for a spare...i never had a problem till this was talked about last week...i will be going to ford for a new one now...
I went with the Goodyear Gatorback and highly recommend them. They are about 40 bucks, depending on where you get them. But that's the going rate of a high quality belt.
Inside your drivers door is the placard. Set them to the pressure indicated there. You can go as high as the tire says but then you start to have wearing issues like the middle wearing out of the tire before the shoulder etc..
I have the same size and got almost 60K ( plus a few burnouts here and there too ) out of the last set of Michelin LTX M/S tires. The previous owner of the truck put them on around 48K and I replaced them at 104K. This was keeping them at the pressures on the placard. I have the Pirelli Scorpions now and set them at the same pressures. The truck rides smoother than my wifes Ford fungus.
