Yay it snowed today and I was stuck working on a Train.... Tractor, trailer, turntable dolly and a trailer.... outside.... was fun I must admit... Damn I wish I were still a field mechanic. Those days were fun. I'm still a kid and love the snow. TGFC Thank God For Carrharts..... LOL
Carhartt... love it. I live in my overalls when I'm home, and nothing stops the Lubbock wind like canvas. You want some real protection try that Artic Extreme stuff made out of nylon cordura with the heavy lining cause it actually really repels water. I could never justify one because even in the regualr canvas heavy weight I still sweat my nuts off, but my jackets tend to get wet and stay that way when it snows which kinda sucks. I'm a big fan of the red lining, what ever level that is, works great when it's 5 degrees outside and you're moving around.
I wish I got snow days still. This time last year I was waiting for the snow to stop for a day or two so I could get out and back to Texas, made it out the night before the second big dumper came through Denver.
Well Christmas break (I refuse to call it "winter break" just to **** off a liberal) Started today, and amazingly, non of my jobs have anything scheduled until the 8th...So it looks like i might actually be able to enjoy myself!
Merry Christmas yall!
EDIT: PS living in WA and working construction and farming, lemme tell ya, Carharrt stuff is a friggin godsend!

Bunny (Jr), did you get any days off last year after the windstorm and floods? I think yall had worse wind but over here in Snohomish County it was flooded like an EFI engine being started by an autistic kid...

Nope. We didn't have any flooding at the school... too badly anyway and our huricane blew through at Christmas so we lost one day due to a power outage and started break. Our power was out for a week. That storm was terrible!!!
Our school was fine cause its on a huge hill (right next to the state prison )
But the farm was under for awhile and i was out watching roads wash away.
We lost power for 4 days, and also missed 4 days of school because 50% of the student body couldnt get to the school...

Our roads were covered but there was none in the school, so it stayed open.
