I'm very skilled mechanically as well as machining & fabricating... But I lack specific tech knowledge when it comes to Ford... I used to be mainly a Chevy man but don't discriminate on anything cool...
I do know that many parts won't interchange like on a chevy (all small block intakes will work on any small block, tranys have same bolt pattern, etc)
I picked up a 78 F100 with a stock 351 and 2 bl carb & cast iron exhaust manifolds for a donor to do disc brake and power steering conversion... my 66 has a later model 302 with 4bland headers...
I was planning on swapping the body over to the newer frame and running the 351...
my questions:
1)will the 4bl carb/intake and headers from the 302 work on the 351?
if not
2)will the powersteering pump from the 351 bolt up to the 302.
Yes, No , & No. That 351 is an M, same 385 series as the 460, not a W that is similar to the 302.
You can bolt your sheet metal up on that chassis. The cab and front clip are bolt hole exchange. You will have to make the bed work as the chassis rails were widened in 73.
check and make sure that the engine is the org. there are 3 diffrent 351, you have your clevland, windsor and midland. the windsor is the only one that can swap with a 302.

No 302 intake will fit a 351, the 351 blocks are taller, that makes the 351 intakes wider, it also means the exhaust will be higher too, more than likely, the headers won't fit but you can try as long as both are w blocks.
the power steering pump should be similar, the brackets may need to be changed and you usually need to remove the pully to do that.

No 351 Clevelands in Ford trucks.
No 351W's in Ford F Series trucks or Bronco's till 1980. Econolines only from 1975.
And there's no such thing as a Midland anything.
The M inre to a 351 stands for modified.
That modified nomenclature...sometimes disputed here...is straight from the Ford parts catalog. Ford calls it that, and so should everyone else.
Caveat Emptor = P/S pulleys are pressed on/off.
