Hood Safety Catch
I am in need of a hood safety catch or at least the part# for it. Probably a question for Number Dummy. It is for a 66 F100. Or if anyone has an extra they are willing to part with send me a PM.

To the best of my knowledge; the safety latch is a reproductive part; check the sponsor web sites and I'm sure they have them; if John can't find one stock away. I also probably have one I'll check my inventory and let you know. I purchase one from a company in Kansas acouple of years ago.

I went to the garage and found a safety latch; alittle different than mine on my 65 model. It mounts the same and the only difference is it has a two hook type lever. I'll try and post a picture for you tomorrow, If you want it its yours for shipping cost.

Bill; sorry I havn't posted a pic yet; will as soon as possible; I agree with John on posting on this forum; once I'm able I'll place a pic in my gallery & delete it once you got a chance to view it. I'm currently at work and probably thake acouple of days befor I get a chance to take a pic. I'm not the best at computers & digitial photo stuff.

Thanks for the update Mitch. I have found an NOS hood safety catch today, and have purchased it. Thank you very much for your efforts they are very much appreciated. I know what you mean some of the picture posting stuff can be challenging at times.
