I went deer hunting a few years ago and got a nice buck.... trouble was it cost me a new bumper...lol A while after the work was completed I noticed that the reading for the outdoor temp. was high. I think the sensor was not put back properly. It's not a big deal but I would like it to be right. Does anyone know where it is located. I want to just see if it has shifted. Thanks
Its behind the grille on the driver side. Heres a pic of it on an Expedition. On the Expedition its on the pass side so don't let that confuse you, its on the driver side behind the grille on the SuperDuties (the opposite side).
Make sure it isnt laying down on the bottom. The mount on my X was broken and the sensor was laying down on the bottom between the radiator and intercooler (i believe). the sensor would read much hotter than it really was outside. Take your grill off you will probably find it. if the mount is broken just put some silicone on the sensor and slide it into what is left of the mount.
OK just checked again... it's gone must have fallen down. I guess it's time to remove the grill. I did find the plug for thr heater jamed down in there. I had seen it said it had one but never cared. It doesn't get cold enough here in NC to worry about a 5.4 gas getting too cold...lol PS. it was 74 here today.
