I thought about buying a manual as well. I found the AlldataDIY web site instead. It's an online manual and very reasonable in price. They have almost all the different kinds of vehicles. A lot of mechanics use the service. I have nothing to do with their business, just a thought.
I have used Chilton and Haynes and like Chilton a tiny bit better. I usually buy the "Total Car Care Manuals" for $25-$30. Good enough for things like tune-up, timing chain replacement, etc. I'm sure a $110 Ford manual would be better, but is it four times better? I guess it depends how much you will use/need it.
