The 2 coil wires - color code and function?
Trying to figure out (forgot to write it down!!....) what wires go where on the 6 cylinder coil and what their colors were. Could you do me a favor and look on yours? On the wiring harness left IN the F100 when the 6 banger was jerked out of it, their are (three) connectors that allow for a press on connection....one was for the oil sensor (color?...), the other was for the water temp (color?...) and the remaining was the wire that went to the coil, but did it go to + or - and what color was it?
Could you please help - I'm not getting any spark to the plug wires. This conversion is just about finished...just need to get him cranked up..

The wire that powers the coil goes on the + terminal. The - terminal goes to the "points"(if ya got them) or the module. As I have an '87 my wiring set-up wouldn't do you any good.
Turn on the key and back probe all three to see which one has 12V.DC to it. The powered one will go to coil. Then short each of the other two in turn and check your gauges (put someone behind wheel). Ground each of them in turn and have the person behine the wheel tell you which one goes past the high or hot mark. Attach to corresponding sensor.
Now if any other gent will kindly respond with wire colors it would make my day and allow me to get to some serious S-10 stompin'....
