first post, 95 trans issue

hi guys, just picked up a 95 f150, 6cyl, 2wd, 135k, body and interior good shape, but it sometimes shifts hard, and coming home this am at 65 mph, it shifted out of gear, then shifted back into gear twice, a little worrisome. after looking through everything in glove box, i discover some type of aftermarket install from "jasper", so i emailed them to find out what (probably trans related) piece was put on this vehicle. i do have a 30 day, 1000 mile warranty from the used car dealer. am i destined for more trans trouble, should i take it back to dealer and demand repair under the warranty? this is my first ford truck and i love everything about it, but this trans issue has me concerned.
