Hey no problem was there once so I know the frustration of not having what I need to know to do the job. I was looking for the wiring on your man. trans but can't seem to locate it though, everything that comes up is for the auto. trans. Do you know what the model # is for the manual trans?
I changed a couple of the options and then tried to change the key-in sense option and thats the only option that I cannot get the status light to change. Am I doing something wrong? Rotun, thanks for everything.
I just got a copy of the gold installation manual and in there, it says you need to install a resistor in the key in sense circuit. Does this also apply to the bronze package that I have? Is that why I can't get my module to change?
OK EVERBODY- I FIGURED IT OUT! I left the light green and white wire connected to the remote start module. I then took the module out of tachless mode and whent into the tach learn option which is option #2 in bank five. The module read a valid tach ignal while at idle. Changed the module to key-in sense negative I think? (The status light was off.) Now everything works as it should and man is it awsome. Every morning about 5 min before I leave, push the button and truck is ready to go when I walk out the door. Thanks again for everything guys. This site is so awsome because of people like you.
P.S.- Moderators, is there a way that this thread can become a sticky in the tech folder? I know there will be many more guys like me wanting to know how to install the remote start. I have the unzipped version but cannot post it. Is there someone that can? Thanks,
Sweet! That's what I have too! Does your S.D. have the SEIC wire for PTO? If so you can hook up a relay to the rear defrost output from the module to the "hi-idle wire and now have the ability to crank up the idle with your remote for those cold mornings. Sending you the gold manual now.
thanks Rotun got it. I will look into that high idle as my truck does have that wire. I have it hooked into the upfiiter switch right now. Can I bug you one last time for the vehicle specific diagram. '06 F250 Deisel crew XLT FX4 is what I have.
sure, i'll send it in a few hours, doing the ccv mod right now. You can leave it h/u to your upfitter and run it off the remote as well. I wired mine to a toggle switch so I can activate when it's running normal (not on remote start) all you need is a standard 4 pt. relay. I'll send that info too.
