After 3 years of looking and a month of shopping around, I finnaly brought home my new truck today. 2008 F250 XLT Sport, V-10. These trucks are one heck of a truck. I have spent countless hours here the last few weeks watching you guys post and seaching old post in making my decision. I was very fortunate to find my V-10 sitting on the lot like I wanted. I needed a new truck to pull my other toy around, mudrace truck, truck and trailor wieghed 7200# loaded. I had been using my '97 with the 4.6 and 3:55 gears for the last three years, although it would pull it it was really at it's limit. Thanks FTE and Thanks to all posters who post here. I look forward to posting with you guys now.
I'm off to the V-10 forum to thank those guys too.
Thanks for the congraudulatory post guys!!!! No pictures yet. I haven't got a digital camera but I can get pics made for a disc using my regular camera, then post them. Rain has set in here today, I brought the truck home and put her in the garage this morning. I plan on getting the owners manual out tommorrow and reading up on it to see what does what and giving it a good coat of wax. My truck is the dark shadow gray and it's a SuperCab. It's also a long wheel base. This was the first LWB 4x4 SC that I had found while looking the last 3 years. I've always liked LWB's better because usually the first thing I do to any truck is put a toolbox in it. This is only the 2nd 4x4 I have ever owned, the other was my '78 and many things have changed in 30 years!!!!!!
I can't wait to tow with it, one day I'm gonna just load the race truck up and drive around just to see what it does.

BSEG!!!!!!
I can already tell a differance just driving it home today. I don't really have a heavy foot but I had to push my '97 150 with the 4.6 down for good acceleration.
The V-10 pushing 6000+#'s you just lightly mash the gas and it moves quite well and didn't even go pass 2k's on the tach.
I'll second the motion Triton V-10........The Best Kept Secret!!!!!
