My truck is white. I noticed now I have black staining on the body above the tail pipe. My truck is stock, I drive like an 80 year old lady, get normal fuel economy and it runs good. I have been keeping an eye on other powerstrokes, and none have the amount or as dark a stain as mine. Looking in my rearview show no smoke, unless i gun it, which is an extremely rare occasion for me. What could cause this?
I've never had a stain on mine. If it bugs you and your MPG is good, consider a down turn pipe tip. A friend with a Dodge did that. His did have some hopup stuff on it. Good luck
also have a white truck its a dually and i have the same sout trail as you i dont wash my truck every week or even month and it'll build up pretty good in the winter when its crummy out and i got a while before a hose down Runs great and dont bother me a bit
It's Normal. The black exhaust gets on all trucks it's just more visible on light colored vehicles. When I wax my truck it comes off on the towel. Washing does not remove it completely but a good cleaner wax will get it off.
