I read in the 08 forums that it bolts down to some brackets instead of just bolting to the floor. You might have to improvise a little. I'd check into the width since the new trucks don't have arm rests the console might be a little wide.

The seller said it would fit. I emailed him back asking if I had to retro fit anything....still waiting

It does fit. Quite a few people here have done it already. I have been toying with the idea of it for some time, but don't know if I want to give up the extra seat.

This had been a nightmare ordered the floor console about month ago it never did show up so I filed a claim with pay pal. The seller had a 99.4 satisfaction rate so thought why not. Part finally did arrive but was damaged so another claim was filled. The seller did email me back because I thought the floor console bolted down to the floor and no other parts were included he said it just sits there. SEEMS KIND OF ODD TO ME. Anyone else have the 08 floor console?

If you go to the Superduty forum, there are a number of guys there who have done this. Storm is one that comes to mind. There are some adaptations that are required to make the mounting permanent, but some do just let it sit in place and ride.
Here's the question I have, because I've been considering this same purchase myself. Did you have to remove your arm rests, or do you just leave them "up"?

I just put an 04 center console and bucket seats in my 02, I had to cut some carpet away and install some smash nuts to bolt it down, but the holes were there. The superduty cab has pretty much been the same from 99-08, so basically anything can swap with only minor work.

Does anyone know how true that the med stone (gray) 08 consoles match the tan interior of the older trucks (2006). on all of the item descriptions on ebay they all say that the gray color consoles are a blend of tan and gray and that it looks good with either interior you have. I have tan leather interior and I really want to get rid of my jump seat for an 08 console, but I want it to look right. My thoughts are that I need to find a tan console with the tan leather arm rest but I can't find that at all. The only thing I can find is the gray with black top. Does anyone know how this looks in tan interior?

The only thing I could suggest is getting on the Ford website and looking at some of the interiors with the console. Worst case, you can get some Duplicolor paint and paint it to match (except the top, of course).
