i recently veiwed the crash test of the f-150 supercab at insurance institute for highway safety (IIHS).the website address is www.highwaysafety.org the results are astonishing,in fact its worth a close look,to any of you interested in safety. the ford fails miserably, especially in comparison with toyotas tundra, which is the highest rated. im wondering if anyone has found results on the supercrew. i hope it does better than the supercab.the crew has that extra post between the doors which may help the structure.check it out.
I saw a news report on those tests. these tests were under "lab" conditions but, under "real life" conditions the Fords actually were safer than most. at least that's the way I understood it.
PS.. The SCREW had a D Beam between the front and back doors that a SCAB does not have. This should help with the structural integrity of the truck. I would like to see a SCREW in a test.
ALSO,
In a consumer reports article they were raving how the Dodge 1500 did poor last year and well this year with the new body style. They used a extended cab last year and a quad cab this year. Come on guys! At least compare the same truck.
