when i check my codes i get a backpressure code. could it be related? so the hose i need to check is on the front of engine?
DUHHHH I'm KINDA UH DUMB.....
Could be clogged.
Remove the sensor and clear the pipe.
The pipe goes into the exhaust manifold.
Could be carbon clogged along with the sensor itself clogged.
After reading this thread I have a question, I know I run the risk of sounding really dumb, but since I don't know I know that one of you can enlighten me.
The original question was about the operation of the EBPV, which led to mentioning a hose/tube which holds a sensor and get's clogged up.
I have my EBPV unplugged at the connection under the turbo, is there any reason for me to be concerned with this tube on the front of the engine, say if its clogged up? Does this sensor have any affect on engine fueling or timing or only the EBPV?
If mine is clogged, will it cause an increase of backpressure within my engine? What kind/type of problems might stem from this increase in BP?
