diesel smoke
anybody know any good tricks to to up the fuel pressure to give her more power and make a little smoke my friend has the same truck less mileage than mine and he stomps on it and leaves me in a cloud of black soot i just want to get him back but don t have the money for a chip or programer i bought a dfuzer its suppose to raise the control pressure a little but i don ' t think it works because it says if you turn it up it will cause the cel or engine light to come on and i have yet to see it come on neither one of us has any mods other than exhaust i have a k/n filter thats it any ideas

Dump the K&N and get a 6637 from NAPA. You can up the fuel pressure by shimming the regulator with a BB and then do a c00nhunterjoe 14.4k mod. That will blow smoke and give you power. I don't really upping the FP gives you much power if any but it is still a good idea. Just keep it under 80 psi.

I would disagree, if all he wants is smoke then just tape off half of your K&N with duct tape. Smoke is unburned fuel. Meaning his fuel to air ratio will be higher. MORE smoke.

yea i got the 14.7k mod coons way and then just for ****s and giggles i got a 33k mod on a switch and keep in mind these truck flatline most f the time if you do over 20k mine does it over 14.7k... but it will rev up and blow some black with the 33k...

i bought the 10k or maybe the 18k dfuser hooked it up to the ips like it says and it don' t seem to do a thing i can ' t remember which one i bought

hey i tried the bb mod for the fuel press. reg oh my god!!!!!!!!!!! what a huge difference it was like a new truck she flys now lots of power! I'll try some more and fill you guys in on anymore that i do.Neal thanks again for that web address it really works still scared about certain things to do with tricking the computer though thats a very expensive part to replace if you screw it up if you get my drift

30psi - 38psi before 50- 60psi after my gauge moves a lot either that or my friend can ' t read a gauge lol. it made a big difference. whats this about the oil line mod ? anybody know about this one?
