79 bed

I was wondering if the inside of the beds on the 78-79, such as the floor and the inner side panels, are interchangeable with trucks of a newer generation, say maybe up until 80s or 90s? my trucks outside bed panels can be saved but the insides cant, and if they are interchangeable with trucks of newer years it would make my hunt a lot easier. thanks

According to other threads on this site, the 73-79 bed sides can fit on a newer bed inner structure, but some of the bolt holes to mount to the frame will be in the wrong spot. Also some minor mods may be necessary.

Yeah, ive done this before, and its annoying. The bed holes do not line up, and the skins are a pain to deal with, but they do fit. Take alot of time and welding.
