You guy are great! This is all starting to make more sense. I took my intake off this weekend and tapped it for the boost gauge. While I had it off I "attempted" to clean the boots inside and out with Dawn ("because it cuts the grease fast" ) and hot water. Didn't exactly work out so I quit until I could get to Wally World for some Simple Green. I'm assuimg Simple Green will do the job. I did inspect them for cracks and didn't find anything that jumped out at me. I'll be sure to look a little closer tomorrow when I pull them.
BD - good idea. Mike lives about 45 minutes from me, not too far. If he offers I'd take him up on it, but I'm not one to invite myself.

Simple green is what I use to clean my engine, works great.
I agree about inviting yourself for someones help. Where is Mike when your not asking for his help. Guess he is taking the bad guys off the street.
