if i could get enough money for my truck to buy #3 i would be on it!!! i already tried and figured out that i don't think that my truck will bring in the green if i try to sell it in order to buy #3. I tried for ya cody, but i couldn't make it happen at 17 years old. if i was a little older and had a good job, then i woulda already put in my bid for it before you even got the new truck home!!!! LoL.
Randy, I have other plans for your truck, and a rebel flag ain't got nothing to do with it. But I agree with you, it's time to move on and make Rockee, not Rookie.....(word play assbag I hate that crap!) bigger and bader. I sure coulda used your lift tonight. Here's a story...
If you ever have the chance to clearance a firewall for a 3" dp with the dp already in there.......PASS!!!! I got the truck back from the tranny shop today. I started it up and HOLY CRAP!!!!! What's that noise? I knew the dp was rubbing before, but now it was full on riding the firewall. I'm sure they bumped it while doing the tranny. So I go home to see if I can pull the dp out without cutting it. The joint where it goes together was already smashed with a u-bolt clamp, not coming off.... So I get the sawsall in there from undernieth, make my cuts. So far so good. I'm thinking to myself, no problem, get the port-a-power duck bill out and bend it back.....WRONG! Not enough room. So it's pry bar city and hammer. But I got it done. It just sucks doing it with it being 40 degrees and wind blowing.......
So yeah, I really could have used your shop tonight Randy. But that's okay. Even though you say "Oh yeah, come on over anytime!" I know you don't mean it. Thanks pal!!!
Austin, no ValAir at this time. I'm gonna run the LUK for all it's worth. Which won't be much with Stage 2's.
Travis, I would love for you to have the truck. But I would love 6k more!!
And just a side note. Travis and I went out and did doughnuts on the highway until we were content in the middle of the night last night in No.3. Kinda one last hoorah before I pulled the stacks. Yes, I know that's not the best idea, and illegal. But DAMN it's fun doing doughnuts in a dually!!! We did a few standing burnouts etc. It was drizzling and made all this easy. But It would have been the same story if it was dry. I sure will miss driving that truck.
There will be no more pics posted of No.3. I just can't do that to it. I want yall to remember it for all it's glory, not it's demise. But yes, he looks naked.
Ryan, the saw works great. It grinds a little when I put it in a bind. But I've had it for a few years and it's seen it's share of pipe. And I forgot to say, if No.3 actually had a D60 front like you suggested years ago, I don't think there is any way I could do what I'm doing. It still hurts.
Randy, I gotta get my shots in somewhere. LOL And who the hell is Roy? And why is he my boy? I'm sure you mean Tom, and yes ROCKEE is looking good. Thank you. It's your attention to detail that makes you so great Randy! Wow.
All kidding aside, I may need some IPR orings if you have any. Holler at me in the morning.
