Truck wouldn't start when it was down around 40 so I replaced the GPR and it started fine after that. Went up North and it went down to the 20's and when I starts it it romps real bad for about 5 seconds then smoothes out without being plugged in. It doesn't smoke but wondering if this is normal?

Thanks. Now that is a large discussion. Looks like the 5-40 oil change will help as I have brand new batteries and GPR. Running 15-40 Rotella at the moment with no smoke.

sounds like it will help..how ever i run 15/40 delo year around and i have never had the romps..

I just changed from 15W-40 AMSOIL to 5W-30 AMSOIL and made a night and day difference. Truck started today no problem and it was single digits and not plugged in. It died with the 15W-40 last week.
