Engine swap in a bronco

Sorry about the crosspost, but I put this in the Bronco forum before I knew that the I6 forum was here. I have an 86 with an inline 300 that's a little tired. I came across a 92 I6 300 just rebuilt with a warranty for dirt cheap. Has anyone here ever swapped in a late model EFI motor for the old carbureted I6? Everyone says that I should go with a 351, but that's just not really in the budget. The motor comes with the computer & just about everything for the swap into a vehicle, but the 92 model year was a lot more computer controlled than the older one. A few have said that it's just too much of an expensive swap & would cost more than I got the truck for. Any help would be great. Thanks

I you get the engine, computer, sensors, and wire harness It can be done, with a lot of effort and thought (about where to put the sensors etc. I don't think that the electric fuel put would be that expensive if you got everything else with the engine. or do you get the fuel pump too? You'll like the final results if you do it correctly. Herman
