I was wondering where most of you get your fuel filters from. I just recently bought some from a store on eBay and found them not quite to par with the Fram ones I am used to buying. The top o-ring for the cap leaks (very badly) to the point of puddling in my intake valley. I was hoping to save a buck but have learned my lesson. I can only imagine the troubles that await me from this filter. I am thinking I should just change it out (learning experience) and replace with better quality. Thanx for the input, Cory
I put in a Napa Gold about 2 months ago and had no leak problems. I did however have to go back and get the fuel filter cap, because a stock 1piece filter was in place where the cap is part of the filter assembly. If you watch your local Napa they will put them on sale and you can stock up.
There are two types -- one with an integrated cap, and one that's just the filter that goes under you original cap. I use my own cap with just the filter. I get mine from Geno's Garage, a site sponsor. Make sure the O-ring is oriented correctly. It's a bit counter-intuitive and can leak if installed wrong.
