I have a 1977 F250 Camper special with a Supercab. Im going back out to sea and Ill be out for around 6 months. When I get back me and a couple buddies are going to travel to africa and volunteer over there for awhile. But I'd like to upgrade my old truck so its ready for the harsh climate. I've been looking but I cant seem to find what I have in mind. Something similar to a camper shell but it's more of a utility shell. Thats what Im dreaming about, but I need to also upgrade my radiator im sure, and lift it a good 3". Im not too sure, I dont want to go rushing into anything too quickly before I learn maybe what other people have done, or may have in mind. Any ideas? Dream with me. ha, thanks.
I remembered seeing this truck when goofing off in the galleries some time back. Maybe you can PM him and get some info on his shell. As far as a "safari upgrade" Id suspect that you would want a good radiator and tranny cooler if its an auto and also a real good air filter.
Cant say I have much to say on the subject. My truck tends to stay in its own continent
