LOL...its ok, we're good for carrying the blame and we all know that when you drag it home and the little woman comes out and stands there with her arms crossed, her lips pursed, and her toe a tapping that you are going to need to try and deflect some of her anger. Go ahead, aim it our way (we all have teflon and asbestos skivvies)
Sounds like a cool toy

Funny you say that. I just had my mom rivet my holes back together just in time for winter.
I've been married for less than 2 years so my free time is what she wants, and as soon as that gets old then money will be next. Sure are right about the smile and hips tho, getcha every time.
I got a bank acc at a different bank, TRUCK FUND. No body knows about it but me.(SO FAR) And I get paid cash for about 80% of the jobs I do.(self-employed) So I skim a little off the top before I take it home to mama. Sneaky YES, but the truck likes it.
oh trust me she knows about it . they just know !!!!!!!!!!!!! my unk is comin over tonight to look at her computor here so i gotta get hold a him and ask him not to say anything which will elicit the usual response : a big sneaky smile, a laugh , and whats it worth to ya ? i , after x-mas mind you , am only giving 200 for the wrecker . everything is there including a new 360 that unfortunately has been outside in the weather , and besides the usual winch and boom setup it has a wheel lift , which i wont use . i'm gonna have to redesign the " skin " of it to look more period correct like ksmith's old 51 but no biggie .
Ah yea, the old time honored "break her in slowly" technique.
A few months ago I aquired a 1967 Jeepster Commando. I've been slowly prepping the little woman for its eventual arrival. (My buddy still has some stuff stored inside of it and it will be another month or two until he can move it so I have a bit of time to make room for it)
I've been slowly bringing it up in conversation and she's starting to warm up to it (well, at least until one of the myriad of insurance bills for the other vehicles shows up----seems like I send a check to the insurance company on a monthly basis)
I know she will never leave me.......if she did she would have to take half of my stuff....LOL
naw mine won't leave me either nor i her despite complainin' and stuff that happens , but if she did that'd hurt as i know she'd take one of the trucks , mallethead and my collection of vinyl { a.k.a records to any youngsters } cause she knows that'd hurt ! she'd give the dog back as i dont think she would wanna deal with him for long . he's still a pup and oh so slightly hyper . and yes the time honored break her in slowly is my plan . i actually left the computor on yesterday when i left for my last two runs with fte on and a pic of ksmiths wrecker on the screen to see what kinda response i'd get . i also asked again where the pic was of my grandpa's ol' 52 binder wrecker was again under the pretense of looking for it , me that is . unk rich even helped out as he chimed in about this ol' 49 f-1 that dad had many years ago that he left with him when pops decided he wanted to go to australia { he was divorced from the other parental unit at the time } and jumped aboard a tramp steamer and was gone for a year . great story unk !!!!!!!!!! im just following in dads footsteps !!! truck that is not workin on a boat !!
