Oil Filter Study
Here's a in depth study on filters that's a good read. http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html. You may be surprised to see the inside of some filters. I went from Fram to Wix after seeing this report.

This so called "study" is older than dirt. I read it over ten years ago. IMO it is not a study, but some dufus cutting open filters in his garage, and giving opinions. He tells you this himself. Nothing scientific about it at all. You cannot tell what a filter will do by looking at it.

well the study is very old. But I wish some one would cut open the new fram filters. The new fram filters are made in china! This includes the PH8A,PP16 and PH2. I noticed this at Kragen while shopping. The boxes say made in "china" printed in "usa".
