Hey guys, sweet site.
Does anyone know where or how to find out what build number a truck is? I have an '01 HD that I bought a few months ago, and am trying to bring it back to its former luster (it wasnt very well taken care of), and the build number is one of the things that I think would be a cool addition. Thanks for any help!

L owners used to be able to check with SVT at Ford, but I'll have to ask my HD buddy where to get the build numbers for the Harley's

'02/'03 and up there is on a build plaque on the console.

'00/'01 would have come in a gift set which includes the build plaque and that wasn't mounted in the truck

If you give me the VIN and production date off of your door jam, I can forward the info to my HD buddy who should be able to get the info for you.

OK, the VIN is 1FTRW07L71KA85754 and the production date is March 2001. Thanks again for your help. Im finding nothing here and my small town Ford guys here have absolutely no clue.
