well I guess I can't shave those off then I don't wanna look at a couple of holes in my fenders

For a fresh look just take some acetone, a roll of wide masking tape, a roll of shop towels, and an old tooth brush to your badges. The paint comes off nicely and the look pretty good. I did mine in about an hour in the driveway. Just make darned sure you mask off about a foot around each of them so you don't get black junk on your paint. They'll look like this:
