It's called axle wrap, get yourself some traction bars before you break the driveshaft, or just stop trying to do burnouts in a vehicle that wasn't meant to do them.

You are getting axle wrap.. (the twisting of the axle from the torque) When it winds up and unwinds it causes it to hop. Some type of traction bar should fix it.... It's REALLY hard on drive train components to let it do that.

Old shocks can sometimes be a cause, open diff doesn't help either. I cracked a leafspring from it, hahaha.

The only vehicles made to do burn outs are the ones that are modified. Their are 2 ways you can "fix" your problem. One is to hit the gas harder or power brake it so the tires actually spin instead of grab, (Which still leaves you with the same problem and a greater chance of breaking something) or you can install a traction device. Something like traction bars probably the cheapest, ladder bars, or a 3/4 link.

No vehicles are designed for burnouts, but like you said people modify vehicles, but I have always thought that people modify to gain traction, why would you design a vehicle with the intent of spinning the tires? Every motorsport does what they can to minimize wheel slip, that must mean something.

Mustangs are made to do burnouts. Why do you think Ford made more than one commercial with the current Mustang doing burnouts? LOL. But back to the point, wheel hopping can quickly tear up a drivetrain as said before. If you going to do burnouts alot, then get the components to do so.

They dont make them to do burnouts, thats just a really cool byproduct of the horsepower and not enough traction.

All you have to do it turn the TCS off. But yeah, I agree about the byproduct.
