My door ajar dinger dings on the driver side even with the lights off and the keys out of the ignition. I have tried to mess with the fuses, but when I found the correct one, the whole instrument panel went out too. (It only dings when the door is open)
Anyways, I have to remove the door molding this week to replace the mirror some **** ripped off and I was wondering if there was anything to look for when I'm working on it. Could the dinging problem be caused by something in the door?
FYI, I also noticed that the light on the inside of the door does not work. Don't know if it's related or just the bulb.....just thought I'd mention it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Oh, and it's a 1998 Regular Cab F-150 4.6...if it matters much
Sounds like the dinger problem in in the key contact in the column. My Windstar has done this for years. I am assuming that it is the slower ding? The fast ding is for lights on.
I'm guessing that the bulb is bad in the door. Unrelated.
