When the Feds tried to sell "hot" guns for $50 to criminals, noone bought them. Then they lowered it to $25, still no takers, So, they gave up. Massachusetts has a nice strict gun law, which means all the criminals have one (until they drop it) and the citizens don't.

1999? In the city of Lynn, where they have the local north shore Hells Angels Chapter, it is almost impossible to get a CCW permit. It didn't stop the Hells Angels from owing ... a cannon! Got a permit for that Tony A?

All these things do is help them turn in stolen, rusty, non-functional, or out dated pieces while they keep the nice modern semi-automatics for themselves, that they stole or do not have permits for anyways.

Lucky for me I am in an adjacent community with a slightly more friendly chief.

And don't forget Bartley-Fox - the mandatory one-year sentence for unlawful posession. Well, it was mandatory unless the bleeding heart judge decided it wasn't mandatory.

But it makes the politicians feel soooooo good.
