I am having a problem with my transmission. It operates fine in 1st or 2nd, but when it shifts into third, there is a chugging/tendency to shift into od prematurely. The problem does not appear when I am towing. I just had the fluid changed, but the problem is still there. It has gotten to the point where I will occassionally turn off od just to avoid the problem.
5.4l engine/90k miles on trans, fluid changed at 80k

http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00080.html Abit long for a fluid change. I pull
out a half quart to quart every motor oil change with a mity vac hand pump and a
hose as long as the dip stick. with the price of trannies the extra time is worth it if
it only lasts an extra 5000 miles even. The biggest advantage to it is the reup of the
additive package, You could use some of this stuff in lieu of the half quart every now
and then and it may help your current problemo!!http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/...-000063010.htm
