The 67-72 frames were narrow. Those beds bolt up to any 73-77 F250 4x4 AKA the Highboys and I believe to some camper special frames. Other than that, all the other frames are wider.
How well do the belt lines match? The belt line of the earlier pickup is higher (pushed outward) than the sheet metal above and below.
and the belt line of the later pickups is lower than the sheet metal above and below.
Other than that are the belt lines pretty close to the same height above the ground?

Hey dfreise, take a look at my gallery under miscellaneous pics. I just put them in to show you and give you an idea. This is how my last parts truck looked when I got it. Hopefully it'll help.
Hmmm. . . Not an exact match up, but at least in the neighborhood. I suppose a straight bumpside would look better than my crumpled/rusted/homemade-tailgate bed.
Hey my sheetmetal gurus. In the same vein. I have a 75 highboy with a bed that needs replacement. Will beds from 2 wd in the same vintage fit, or do I have to find a highboy donor for replacement?

you will have to re drill the holes to match the frame of any bed not a highboy, i did mine and i think i went 2 1/2 inch in either side, just measure you monting holes in your frame and redrill.

That's what I suspected. Not too big a deal then. Thanks Ozzy!
