whats up guys i was just wondering what all of you 6.4 owners think of your trucks and if you like them or not. i work for a ford dealer and it seems like everyone who bought one loves it and very little to no problems with it.(my father might be buying one soon and i am trying to get as much info as possible and who better to turn to the FTE ).

 

I love the truck that i have now,it runs,drives better and is more confortable than the 03 I had.The interior is great.I love all the options they now offer.

 

well I have nothing but good things to say about the new 08's... I just drove 5 hours to get my 99 back from a friend (thats had it since Oct) and i didnt realize the difference in the trucks untill the ride back home.... It rode like a lumberwagon(rough) and sounded like a freight train in the cab... wow what a difference in the 08's! I am very happy with mine!

I love the truck. Amazingly, even lifted, it rides better than my Accord. The only recurring complaint I've heard regards the fuel mileage. However, considering it weighs nearly 9000lbs, what should be expected. With regards to other brands doing better, I have a friend that has an 07 Dodge 2500 that is set up almost identical to mine...his fuel mileage is within .3 mpg of my 08. He even wishes he had the Ford, but complained that he couldn't afford the extra $8k. He calls his Dodge a poor mans Ford. No doubt...the 08's are dang nice trucks.

 

Extremely happy with mine every time I drive it. My only complaint is the stock fuel tank size. It should be double its size.

 

Tell your dad to go for it. Might wait till the job 3 come out in January, only one month away. Understand some more options, like spray on bed linners.

 

No warranty claims to date. My truck is a Job#1 truck but seems to be chugging right along. Bought it in August. 8k miles on it. I have one had one oil change at 5k miles. My only complaint would be the A/C being a little weak for such a large cab. The positives are the quietness and the ride. You don't have to turn off the engine at the drive throughs to order.

 

I've never had a pick-up that turns heads, this one does! Pulled up to a golf outing and dudes with BMW's and the like were huddled around my truck checking it our.

 

kool guys i am glad to see for got it right with these trucks i got to drive one for about 100miles or so on a dealer trade and it was very smooth and had tons of power and the turbos sound great

 

I love my truck and haven't had any problems at all with it. I love the interior very nice. It rides very nice for F-450. I would buy another one with out even think about.

 

Best truck I have ever owned. Very capable truck!

 

Is the 6.4 really that quiet, because i had heard that it was super quiet but it still is a diesel so it would seem like it'd still be loud...

Yes! It IS that quiet. But still not as quiet as a gasser.
