I would think the stock intake tubes with their accordian folds must really mess up air intake and that just changing those to smooth hose would help alot. Maybe I will try this next.

What about getting a larger airbox? I saw a filter for an E350 van that looked to be about 10 by 10 inches. Or how about two airboxes so each set of three cylinders draws from a different box?

Only mods to my intake are a K&N filter, trimming the excess off both ends of the snorkel as they were bowing in and constricting flow, and pulling the grill flap over to a couple inches into the grill to catch come incoming air directing it to the snorkel area.

the coffe can is inside the end of the filter and the flex tubing to give somethin solid in there to tighten the hoseclamps on other wise you would just chrush the filter end and flex tube because they are soft rubber. i was going to try and incorperate parts from the expedtion set up but i didnt want to cut to much or use to much cause i wasnt sure what my dad was gonna do with them

actually one of the first things i thought up was going with two smaller k&n say from like a quad or some other small engine and then two tubes right off the intake to the filters but i think the way i did it will flow better with the bigger filter and make better use of the air blowing in from the stock snorkal or wut ever you want to call it
