They will fit, people do it on the forum all the time. I think u have to trim somthing on the panel that holds the lights and grille on
There is a bunch of cutting you have to do on the fiberglass panel. I marked everything that needed to be cut and it looked like it would greatly weaken the structure. Instead of cutting it, I just went to the dealer and talked them down to $130 for the 2005 reinforcement panel. No cutting necessary then.
Use a set of right-angle snap ring pliers, pry the two side tabs of the clip out, then use a right-angle pliers or a flat blade screwdriver to pull them up. You can't pull the clip up without bending out the two side lock tabs or you will break the clip or headlight mounting.
Honestly, it's a lot easier to just remove the whole reinforcement panel. 8 bolts and a few rubber shield clips and it comes right out headlights, grill, and header panel as one assembly. Then you can get to the clips really easily. You'll want to cut the header panel while its off the truck anyway to make clearance for the 2005 headlights.
I just pulled a panel from a 2000 Ex on Sunday night. Took out the marker lights, took out the 4 header to fender bolts, then the 4 header to radiator support bolts. There are even access holes in the grille for just this purpose.
Then there are a bunch of plastic clips that need to come out on the top, bottom, and two sides and then it just pulls out. You have to move it side to side a little to clear the condenser, but its really easy. Total of less then 20 minutes from start to off. That's including removing the bumper.
