trouble with ac

yesterday and this morning i have had trouble with my ac it seems like its not blowing cold air when i go from defrost to max ac its been cold these to mornings and i have had trouble keeping the windows from fogging up (34 to 37 this morning) any ideas or is it to cold outside for the thermastat to have the compressor run oh my ride 06 xlt screw any ideas would help

Check and see if the A/C compressor is cycling. It sounds like you are low on Freon,. If its low the A/C compressor will not cycle, due to the low pressure cutout switch seeing low pressure.

I know on most vehicles, the compressor will not engage when the outside temp is below 60 degrees. So when you switch from defrost to max A/C, the compressor will disengage.
