how much weight (if any) can be taken out of the crank before it would not be suitable for street use?

72 pounds!!?

i noticed that the 4in stroker crank for a 351C from Scat weighs 50 pounds. Since it uses chevy rod journals, custom rods would be required (thanks FTE for this info). So wondered if some weight couldn't be taken out of the factory crank to get the weight down to close to the scat crank.
