Well, it might be LINE-X, but if you were not given proof of it, it might not be. If you had it installed within the last 3 years, I can check the LINE-X warranty database to verify it's a LINE-X bedliner (assuming the LINE-X dealer filled out the online warranty info, which most do). All I need is the VIN and I can check for you.
I stand corrected about the application b/n Rhino and Line X: Rhine applied cold, Line X hot. Rhino is thicker, Line X thinner therefore would seem dents etc would be more prevalent with Line X. Rhino helps deaden road noise and sound better than Line X. Rhino doesn't let crap slide all around as bad as Line X. Both can and will fade over time.
Which is better??? WEEELLLLLLLLL.
Just kidding. I would have either over a drop-in any day of the week.
Actually, LINE-X with Xtra will not fade or lose its gloss. Some people want to slide things across the bedliner others do not. If you want to slide things, tell the LINE-X dealer to apply a light final texture. If you don't want things to slide, tell the dealer to apply a heavy final texture. If you don't ask for either, you will get a medium texture.
OK, here are the results of your VIN search. Either your bedliner is not LINE-X or the dealer did not enter the warranty info in the database as he should have.
If I'm going to be dissapointed I would rather spend $100 rather than $700 (dealer price)
I wish I could speak differently about it but I have to be careful putting my kids bikes in the back because the pedal will wear through the liner from 1/2 hour of driving. And its not just a bad batch or bad application as it was already re-done
You got gouged! I paid $450 for an 8 foot bed on my new F250 and they even did a synthetic gunstock for me as a freebie.
Mine has never worn through and I haul all kinds of stuff from tools to heavy gun safes.

Many from Line X customers who just state the facts. I've yet to see a Line X application in a truck bed that is as thick as Rhino(in my truck). Rhino's consists of rubber mixed in that Line X doesn't contain. Common sense says that rubber, being less of a conductor of vibration and sound with than without, says that Rhino will help better with sound deadening and noise resistance. I also am yet to see a Line X application that is anti-skid resistant as compared with Rhino(here again, having rubber as a ingredient helps). I do believe that Line X will fade less rapidly as compared to Rhino but they both can and will fade over time with sunlight and heat exposure. Line X is harder, no doubt. The warranty thing is a mood point. I have a lifetime warranty at a company here that will be around far longer than I need this liner to last. Lifetime is lifetime, I don't plan to move out of town so both warranties are the same.
None of Rhino's products contain ANY rubber, period. Rhino is softer because it is a 100% polyurethane product and LINE-X is a blend of polyurethane and polyurea. Rubber comes from trees. Polyurethane and polyurea do not occur naturally. LINE-X is stronger than Rhino, we're talking 70 pounds per linear inch stronger and has a 50 degree higher temperature tolerance. So, would you rather have a 1/4" of aluminum or 1/8" of titanium?
Xtra resists fading and is a product that's durable enough for a truck bed. Rhino currently does not have a product like Xtra or anything even close to a product like Xtra.
Warranty is not a moot point. Most brands offer you a lifetime warranty, but it's typically only with the dealer that sprays it. So, if the dealer closes shop or sells out, you're out of luck. LINE-X offers a written limited lifetime warranty that's valid nationwide.
Your other comments are subjective.
Just for fun, more pics, we like pics!

The only thing wrong (if you can call it wrong) with my new to me truck is the scratches in the bed, and I definitely want to do a liner and am leaning towards the Linex but I am not sure who would be the best prices/best service shop around the LA/Burbank area. Note: Its a SuperCrew Shortbed. So I dont know what sort of price I should find reasonable/unreasonable. Thanks.
I appreciate the input. You guys have definetly convinced me to shell out the $$ for a spray on. Does anybody have a liner by lava lining? Any adivice on quality and price?
