Windows, hard to roll up

Every time I roll the window down, it gets hard to roll back up. I tried spraying oil on it but that only helped slightly, What do I got to do to fix this?

I had the same problem on my 67 4x4. Here is what I reccomend. Take off your door panel on the inside. WD-40 everything that moves when you roll the window up and down. There is also a track that a little plastic wheel rolls in. Make sure it is in good, round condition. The factory grease is probably caked with who knows what and is more like sticky tack. Clean off as much of this gook as you can and apply new grease. Any kind will work. Then roll the window up and down as fast as you can like 1000 times. It will work in all the new grease and lube. The only other thing that might be bad is the thing you connect the window crank to. The name slips my mind but it is directly behind the crank and has splines. That could be worn. Good luck with yer truck!

Sounds like mine. I pretty much did what sprocket26 said. It helped some. The passenger side was the worse since it rarely got used. It is smooth, but a bit tight. The drivers side is looser, but it feels like a box of rocks as you roll it up. The "regulator" which is what cranks the window up and down is a bit worn and I think the gears are flopp'n around some. This is what gives it the notchy feel. I've greased everything, including the gear rack, but it doesn't seem to help much.

I tried all of the same stuff and then I ended up having to change the "regulators" on both doors. I bought them "right", on ebay!

And when you get it running smooth again, replace the anti-rattlers, they help keep moisture out too.
