Ordering and Recieving Times
Does anyone have any idea how long it should take for delivery of a new Expedition after ordering?
Mine was ordered on October 15. I was told it could take up to 6 weeks. Two weeks ago I was told it was being assembled but have not heard anything since.
A buddies dad, who used to work at GM in OKC, said that once a vehicle enters an assembly line it is completely built in a few hours with several people and robotic machines working on it.

Took 4 weeks to get our 08 Expedition, The dealer said he rushed it because the wife is a ford partner (Works for Caterpillar).
Was faster then I thought we would get it.
Ours was also the 4x4 and maybe they were building them at that time.

6-12 weeks is probably the norm. What did you order exactly.

Have no clue what the VIN number is.
Ordered a basic XLT without any third row seat.
Heard news on Friday Nov. 30th that the delivery date is now set for January 7, 2008 and that date was subject to change. Only explination was that the factory will be closed for Christmas.
