Exhaust update!!!

Ok so I now have my tail pipe, I went to autozone today and bought a Cherry Bomb high flow center to offset muffler (looks like it does a quick s loop inside the muffler) and now have this small tiny issue to solve:

My solution to the problem is this: have a muffler shop create a longer pipe that fits in between the flex pipe and the muffler, being that the tail pipe is already cut/bent/etc.

Ideas/comments/flames? lol

used as example pictures only, NOT purchasing source

http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductListSimple.aspx?Category=4066A

use adapters
go over exhaust pipe from flex and inside of muffler input

go over muffler output and inside the tailpipe
cheaper and easier than having someone weld and doesn't damage the aluminized coating

use only 3/8" inch U steel clamps.
the cheapy import 1/4" won't stay tight and break
grease the threads with some of that good wheel bearing grease

You might ask your local muffler shop how much it would cost just to install that muffler. When they get that job, they will make the proper pipe section for the installation.

I just used the adapter pipe from the store. More fun to do myself.

I'd do it myself, but i have to come up with an extra 4-6" of pipe between the flex pipe and the muffler....

ok after actualy looking at what was undermy car vs. what i brought home, the person i got the catback from had the flex pipe replaced with a solid piece of pipe... which meants that I don't need any custom bent piping, which means that i can put it on myself!! i bought the 18" extension pipe i'll need tonight, will install tomorow and will post what it sounds like.... i'm soooooooooooooooo looking forward to actualy having a quite cabin again... my exhaust doesn't seem so loud till i ride in my paren'ts areo's that the exhaust is actualy going out the end of the tail pipe on the side of the car vs. underneith mine...
