I can't win for loose with this truck.. She's being a STUBBORN little craphead.. Well today while driving I noticed a clunk.. I can make it happen every time.. What I do is put my wheel straight and then I go either left or right a few inches and I feel this clunk through my feet and the floor.. I havent had a chance to climb under and watch while someone does it but I did inspect all my linkeage.. nothing is contacting anything.. But it feels like a bunch up kinda clunk.. Never did this before.. I noticed it few days ago when I was backing up.. Thought damn, my hubs are sticking.. But now its doing it period.. Only when I turn my wheels..
Have you retorqued all your components up front? Trac bar? Trac bar brackets? etc??
Otherwise, have some one rock the wheel while you look under the truck, or you can rock the wheel and have someone else look. Could be a worn out drag link end...
I replaced that.. I'm thinking Trac Bar.. I did some reading and other people are getting what I got.. Everyone says tighten tracbar.. When we replaced the front end couple weeks ago, I put the DR Panhard Bar in (I had factory tract).. I'm thinking its loose, I'll tighten it tonight..
Ok only thing I can find is 1/2 30mm Deep for $30 bux.. That should do.. Any idea how to get it close to 367lbs/ft? I don't have a TQ that high nor do I want to even spend $150 on a Wrench that can do that much lol..
Impact hold?
Also do we know what the Tq is on the Bracket Bolts? That go to the cross member?
Ok figured it out.. The lock nut on the D/S of the Tract Bar was loose.. Soon as I finger tightened it.. It went away.. The bar was put in the wrong hole and made putting a wrench on it hard.. So I'm parking it until Saturday when I'll have the tools and time.. Going to pull the tract bar and put it in the right hole so that I can get wrenches in there.. My bracket has 6" Lift hole and 4.5" Lift hole.. It went in the 6" doh lol.. We weren't sure what hole but now I know why lol..
I actually use a 3/4 drive when I tighten the track arm bolts, I used my 1/2 snap on long braker bar before and it gets about a 2-3" bow when it flexes, I have actually taken the tire off before so I could get my bar under their.
p.s. I don't think you could tighten those up enough to brake or strip them.
