Anybody out there do a dual battery setup on a 2006 F250 with a 5.4L? I just installed a new Boss V-Plow, and would like to add a 2nd battery (more for back up/peace of mind than anything else). Just curious if anyone else has done this with the 5.4L, where did you put it, parts required, etc.
Any photos of such an install would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
you can put in dual batteries without any of that fancy smancy stuff. i put a dual in my ranger and i will be doing it to my f-150 soon. how i did it was i put a really reliable fuse right off the main battery, and then i ran au guage (really big stereo amp wire) between the second batter that was in my toolbox. i also put a fuse by the second battery. then i put the second battery in a battery box in my toolbox and mounted it down. make sure to use rubber grommets where-ever you go through a drilled hole.

p.s. (just connect the pos to the pos on the battery, and the neg to the frame, like normal)
