I have pictures in my gallery of my 2006 F250 with a 15,000lbs Warn semi-hidden. I purchased the winch, carrier and fender skirting from GoWarn.com and installed it in my driveway. Its a pretty easy install.
the winch carrier bolts to the end of the frame and comes with hardware that relocates your tow hooks and allows you to reattach the bumper. Wicked is right it pushes your bumper out 5" thats why you need the bumper skirting if not it will look like the old "duece and a half" did with there winches. The stock driving/fog light and brackets had to be removed and could not be used with the setup so I replaced them with aftermarket lights and just wired them into the factory wires. The carrier comes with all the hardware and there is no drilling involved.
I have been debating doing this to my '06 but am still not sure yet. With the new skirting and brackets that come with the kit, is the setup sturdy enough to stand on or is it something that you need to reach over? If there are supports and everything that make it able to be stood on then I will be looking more in this direction, if not then I will need to be looking for a replacement bumper. I am just not sure what kinds of brackets and all the kit comes with and the skirting attaches to. Also, after being pushed out, would it be possible to bolt on some KC lights ontop of the bumper since it is now pushed out? Wanting to look into all my options.
I love that set up...Kind of reminds me of a bulldog...hehe Ok...So fess up...where did you get that setup? I would love to have that for my F350. Especially with the way winters can get here.
I bought everthing from gowarn.com and they delivered it rather quickly. The skirtings not that strong like XL1200 said to be standing or working off of its like the gap filler on a body lift it adds no strength just fills the gap. As far as the extra weight I have no idea, that was the only part i needed help on was after i attached the winch to the carrier i couldn't pick it up by my self . I had to grab three other neighbors to help lift and bolt it in. The bumper it self is light enough to handle by ones self.
