Took some pictures of one of my new developed problems. I'm getting soot or oil caked onto my firewall. I checked my up pipes and they seem fine. The connection between my turbo and intake spyder seem ok. What about the (seal?) that connects the two parts of the turbo (impeller/compressor housings)?
looks to me like the intake housing has the same mess on it. I think maybe you have a boost leak at the intake snail shell where it bolts to the base plate. Do you still have the CCV going into the intake? From your sig I would bet not.
The CCV went to the wayside months ago... The only thing I could think of is its the hose clamp that goes between the turbo and intake spyber...Might be why the sticker is starting to lift up?
I don't think its post turbo? Or the up pipes since the top of the housing is like that too.
For some odd reason I think this might be tied into my excessive smoke on cold starts...
