My traction control seems too sensitive. I had the dealer check it and they said it is working fine. This is the first vehicle I've had that has it, maybe I have to get used to it. It seems to activate too soon on corners during normal driving. Also, it seems more sensitive turning left then it is turning right. Most of the time I push the button to shut it off on roads I know it will activate the most.
Are there parts that wear out quicker if it is constantly activating? On my daily comute there is a corner that will have it working for around 6 seconds, not long, but in the long run it adds up. Again, I am not familar with it.
Sorry, used the wrong terms. It has the Advance Trac RSC. In the corners it would be the roll control working. I also get the same sounds when the traction control activates while a tire is slipping when starting out in snow or loose gravel.
My initial post was just my concern that the roll control was acting too quick. I thought it should take more of a quick turn or avoidance maneuver to make it activate not normal driving.
My RSC is very noisy. The first time it came on I thought I was losing a wheel or I had just run over a metal bucket in the street. If this is how it is supposed to work it sucks! I will admit that I was going down hill faster than normal. I was lightly on the brakes and making a gradual left hand turn. I assure you I was very smooth in the turn and the vehicle was in no danger of skidding out of control.
Glad to see I'm not alone. That sounds just like mine. Guess I'll just have to live with it since the dealer said "It is working properly". I'll just have to slow down more. It's funny that I can SAFELY take those same corners faster in my 74 Bronco with 6" lift and 35" tires???
