Valve Cover

How hard will it be to replace a valve cover gasket on a 82 300-6. thanks

Valve Cover

The job is quite easy. For starters buy the rubber gasket, not the cork one. It will last longer. You'll need to disconnect the fuel line, remove the air filer, PCV, and any other goodies running across the valve cover. Just make sure you hook them back up correctly. Clean the mating surfaces well. When you reinstall the cover install to 4-7 ft/lbs. (48 to 84 in/lbs) If you don't have a torque wrench use a socket driver to tighten the bolts - just remember not too tight!

Ok thanks for the help. I got a torque wrench at the auto shop at school and that is were i am gonna do it. Thanks for the help.
