Bed side toolbox

Over the weekend I ran across a Camper Special with a bedside toolbox in the local pull-a-part. It is in excellent shape. No rust at all on the inside and the door looks really good. Are these things worth much? Would it be a good idea to put it in my truck even though it never had one. I'm thinking about leaving work early today so I can go get it. What are your thoughts, espesially if you have one.

There great.2 of my trks have them and I have 2 donor ones on the shelf.I think their --ONE-- of the coolast options Ford ever offered. If you cut one out take a lot of the bed to scab on when you weld it into your trk.I've seen em go for 125.00 to 160.00 on Ebay Good Luck

I'd suggest getting it... The OTHER "option" came on the 350 Camper Specials - the spare tire mounted in the same spot. IF you can find one in good shape, they are NOT cheap & prized.

I went to the yard today and of course all but 2 screws came out with no trouble. It was raining and so I left it but plan to go back. I take it I will need some of the bed side as well if I intend to put it in my truck. Is there anything holding it other than the screws on the outside? Are they all plastic inside? I first thought it was metal with no rust but today I see it is plastic.

There are supports underneath/you need to sawzall or firewrench and cut it out.
